Español
En un mundo de alegrías,
entre el humo y copas de champán,
hay una almita afligida
que se esconde por llorar.
Atraído por su pena
mi pañuelo lágrimas secó,
mientras dijo: “Estoy enferma,
sufro y lloro por mi amor”.
Volvió su cara hacia mi lado,
acariciando su dolor.
Oí sollozos y cortados,
bajo habló:
“Un hombre me engañó”.
Le dije: “Olvide su pasado,
olvide todo lo de ayer.
No llore si él no ha llorado,
ni pensó que sufre una mujer”.

English
In a world of joy,
between the smoke and glasses of champaign,
there’s a little heartbroken soul
that hides itself to cry.
Attracted by its sorrow
my handkerchief dried tears,
meanwhile she said, “I’m sick,
I suffer and cry for my love.”
She returned her face towards me,
caressing her pain.
I heard sobbing and no words,
She spoke in low voice,
“A man had deceived me”
I told her “Forget your past,
orget everything from yesterday
Don’t cry if he hasn’t cried
nor he thought that a woman suffers.”
