Miguel Bucino (1905-73)

He created as a poet-composer many tangos that we still dance to today.

Born in San Cristobal, he started his career in tango first as a bandoneonist. After playing 4-5 shows of Francisco Canaro, he was let go, which pushed him to become a tango dancer on stage at the age of 18. He was one of the first to dance tango on the stage of Teatro Colon. Until he retired as a dancer in 1942 he toured inside and outside Argentina and also taught tango to Umberto I di Savoia and Duke of Windsor.
